The Committee Boat Crew

If you're not up for going out with one of the race teams, it's always fun to go out on the committee boat.. Video taping by Jim is being done ( except this week the camara man was Mike Nelson) pictures for the blog are being taking by Patti Appell (Dave's girlfriend) and Dave is keeping record of all times and shouting out instructions sometimes to those he feels needs it.. He does miss being out there as one of the captains.. but a good time is had by all of us that do go out on the committee boat and we get to see the race up close...

Crotch Reilly Regatta - Before the Race

Yesterday for the winter 6 pack sailing races it was the annual Crotch Reilly Regatta.

Dave Lyon has won this the past two years in a row, so needless to say some of the

Captains were glad to know that he would not be competing this year. Dave said it was

time to have a new winner....

Jibing and Tacking Before the Race Begins...

There were 5 boats in saturdays race. They are giving a 5 min. warning, they practice Jibing and Tacking before there is a 1 min horn and the races begins...

Saturday Febuary 28th, Sailing Race
